I studied Jewellery and metal work as part of my degree and after achieving my BA Hons in applied arts I took time out exploring the different techniques and processes there are to be a jeweller.
Believe in yourself and trust the process of being a jeweller that is what I have learnt along the way!
We are all a work in progress and forever learning.
My inspirations from the sea and love for silver and shells have got me this far!
And I love the jewellery design aspect of being a jeweller.
Trust the process to be a maker, thats my advice for anyone who would love to try silversmithing!
Its great fun, even on days the pieces don't go to plan!

Kate's Inspirations
Shells* Sea Waves * Silver * Stones of the Sea
The beach and sea inspire my thoughts to be creative.
Cowrie shells are my favourite shells and I have designed silver twist rings and bangles incorporating these shells using my favourite snakes head cowrie and gold ring cowrie shells.
I love the design so much its inspired me to design more of the same using different shapes and sized shells.
